The report is built on actual recruitment and job application data from more than 19,000 employers and 689,000 job seekers on the VietnamWorks platform, covering the period from Q2/2024 to Q2/2026. The Hiring Index is standardized with Q2/2024 = 100 as the baseline, enabling consistent measurement of changes in hiring demand over time.

• Accounting & Auditing Leads the Hiring Surge

Sales, Accounting/Auditing, and Architecture/Construction remained the three sectors with the highest hiring demand nationwide. Notably, Accounting & Auditing recorded the fastest hiring growth during Q2/2026, while Architecture/Construction, Human Resources & Recruitment, Banking & Financial Services, and Legal also experienced strong growth, reflecting expanding workforce demand across multiple industries.

• The Gap Between Employer Demand and Job Seeker Interest Continues to Widen

Beyond the overall growth in hiring demand, the report highlights significant differences in job seeker competition across industries. While Marketing, Advertising & Communications recorded the highest level of job seeker competition, sectors such as Sales, Accounting/Auditing, Architecture/Construction, and Manufacturing continued to experience strong hiring demand but relatively lower competition among applicants.
