VietnamWorks’ CEO: “Focus on core values to attract talent”

With more than 20 years of expertise in the field of human resource management, Mr. Gaku Echizenya – Chairman and CEO of Navigos Group shares his thoughts with companies that need to quickly adapt to changes in the labor market. Because human resources are always the “backbone” of any organization.

New recruitment trend, businesses change to adapt

Not far from the global trend, the human resources industry in Vietnam is also facing new challenges and opportunities, requiring drastic transformation to catch up with. Mr. Gaku Echizenya – Chairman and CEO of Navigos Group Vietnam, emphasized that in the next 10-20 years, if Vietnamese companies only run after salary increases and promotions to retain talent without building a labour generation pursues the values of self-development and development for society, it will cause labor prices in Vietnam to increase rapidly, reducing our competitive advantage in terms of labour costs. The inevitable consequence is that FDI companies will shift investment to other countries with more optimal employment costs.

Mr. Gaku also shared more about the fact that workers now have other priorities when choosing jobs in the context of “The Great Resignation” – a wave of massive job terminations that has just taken place.

Mr. Gaku Echizenya assessed that this is the time when companies need to adapt quickly to changes in the labor market.

“After the pandemic, young employees are much more interested in the value of work or how to choose a job that will help them develop well and contribute more value to society. It’s different from the time before the pandemic happened.”, Gaku emphasized.

This is both an opportunity but also a challenge for companies to retain employees, especially the young workforce. Mr. Gaku said that companies in general and leaders in particular need to change a lot, from technology, policies, culture to mindset to be able to respond to changes in the human resources industry.

Mr. Gaku Echizenya shared that workers tend to look for jobs that are meaningful and bring practical value to society.

Beyond the desire for material values or promotion opportunities, young employees are now looking for human development – “Human Growth”: Further than just giving out time and energy in exchange for a stable income, they prefer work-life balance and wish to see the meaning of work through values that benefit the community. The philosophy of “Human Growth” has been summarized by VietnamWorks and Navigos Group after 2 decades of operation in the Vietnamese human resources industry, prompting the company to change, then publishing the announcement to re-brand VietnamWorks.

VietnamWorks transforms strongly, catching up with the recruitment market

The mission “Move Up” has been completed after 20 years, VietnamWorks now continues with the mission “Empower Growth” with the desire to accompany companies and employees to develop comprehensively, find out meaning and inspiration at work. VietnamWorks believes that “There is lots value behind each position” to contribute to society, so the organization chooses to accompany workers and companies to build a “happy career journey” (Empower Growth), so that when each individual’s efforts are linked to community values, a circle of continuing values will be created.

The above changes affirm VietnamWorks’ efforts in accompanying employees and companies in the process of job search and recruitment. As a leading recruitment service provider in Vietnam, VietnamWorks constantly contributes to the development of the labor market in Vietnam.
