UPZI PARTNERED WITH VIETCETERA IN GẤP GAP SEASON 2
Gấp Gap is a space where “misaligned rhythms” in career development journeys across generations are opened, confronted directly, and folded back together. Returning with a new look and the collaboration of Vietcetera, Onboardy & Upzi, Gấp Gap continues to unpack the most pressing topics of interest, accompanying young people step by step as they narrow the gap and confidently move toward their dream careers.
We often talk a great deal about career aspirations yet rarely speak about the struggles at the very first steps. Standing before thousands of crossroads, young people easily fall into confusion, uncertain which direction is right. On one side lies the pressure to succeed quickly, on the other, a lack of real-world experience.
It is precisely from these invisible “gaps” that Gấp Gap returns.
True to its name, this is where we honestly face the gaps between expectations and reality, between personal capability and the pressures of the times. Inspired by the Moving Origami concept symbolizing flexibility Gấp Gap is a journey of learning how to skillfully “fold” early uncertainties to gradually shape a solid career foundation.
Returning for Season 2, the “multi-frequency” dialogues between Gen X–Y–Z carry an even stronger practical spirit. With the support of Upzi – a career and job-matching application for young people under Navigos Group – the show’s multi-dimensional perspectives are translated into concrete steps, helping young people confidently step beyond their own comfort zones.
When the “folds” of mindset take shape
Taking on the role of “captain” guiding the narrative is Host Vũ Minh Trí – CEO of ASIM Group. Representing Gen X with sharp strategic management thinking, he does not impose the experience of those who came before, but instead acts as a mentor, using perspectives on digital infrastructure and human capital to balance Gen Z’s creativity with Gen Y’s practicality.

Continuing the “hands-on” spirit, the three episodes of Gấp Gap Season 2 successively unpack three typical psychological stages of young people: from inner fears to external disorientation, to the pressure of proving real value.
Episode 1: Tech Shame – Feeling ashamed of inadequate technology skills

With the participation of Dung Nguyen – Employer Branding Manager at VNG Group, representing Gen Y, and Ngân Noire – Brand Executive & Young Content Creator representing Gen Z, the opening episode brought multi-dimensional perspectives to the question: Do we master the tools, or do the tools master us?

Season 2 opens by naming Tech Shame – a paradoxical psychological phenomenon in which Gen Z, those born in the digital era, are also the generation most vulnerable to exhaustion due to the pressure of constant updating (Image source: Vietcetera)
While Ngân represents the fear of becoming outdated and the pressure to race after every new AI tool to avoid falling behind, Dung brings the calm perspective of a manager, emphasizing understanding the essence of tools rather than merely using them on the surface.
Together, the two generations decode Digital Burnout – a state of mental and physical exhaustion caused by continuous exposure to digital devices. In this context, young people who seem to master technology are in fact being drained by it. Rather than criticizing slowness or idolizing AI, they agree that technology is created to serve thinking, not to replace humans.
Concluding this topic, the most important lesson “folded” is the mindset of mastery. Instead of blindly racing after every trend, young people need to focus on core understanding. Because when the essence is understood, tools become powerful collaborators rather than barriers.
Episode 2: Job inflation, the crisis of choice

When fear around skills is addressed, the story shifts to a larger gap rooted in choice. In a labor market described as experiencing “job inflation,” the boundary between proactively seeking opportunities and impatience becomes extremely fragile.
Episode 2, with the theme of job-hopping, features an engaging debate between Linh Mỳ – Social Media Executive & Content Creator, representing Gen Z, who was willing to leave a job after just two months of probation due to not feeling “on the same frequency,” and Tuệ Ngô – Head of Product at MoMo, representing Gen Y, who emphasizes commitment and fair value exchange between employees and organizations.

Episode 2 is a journey to find the point of connection between the need to assert personal identity and the lesson of responsibility in a volatile job market. (Image source: Vietcetera)
In the dialogue, job-hopping is viewed openly. Through the lens of responsibility, the line between proactively seeking opportunities and escaping pressure is very thin. If Gen Z prioritizes emotions and experience, Gen Y reminds us of opportunities to upgrade skills after each transition.

From this, the most valuable lesson summarized by Host Vũ Minh Trí is the mindset of “Sitting in the driver’s seat of your own career.” (Image source: Vietcetera)
Staying or leaving matters less than whether you are actively steering your own development path. Movement only has value when it helps you “fold” in more experiences and skills, rather than serving as a temporary emotional escape.
Episode 3: “Pseudo-effort” – Real performance or just a feeling?
The final piece to complete the career picture is honesty with oneself.
Watch video at: https://youtu.be/DfvmejNSrh4?si=PdgrUQ7YoLbARaJV
With the participation of Huyền Nguyễn, Strategic Business Partner Director – Strategy & Supporting Functions at Swire Coca-Cola, representing Gen Y, and An Is Here – Content Creator, representing Gen Z, Episode 3 delivers a direct perspective on the phenomenon of pseudo-busyness.

Sharing on this issue, An admits to having once tried to appear busy on social media through images of meetings and rushing deadlines, creating a facade of productivity that was empty and pressure filled. In contrast, Huyền reclaims the value of “silence” in the workplace, pointing out that focused stillness is often when real value is created.
The dialogue helps young people reflect on themselves to clearly distinguish what is busyness, and what is true performance. Invisible pressure from social media has pushed young people into an image-driven race, preoccupied with polishing appearances while forgetting the quality of their work.
At the final stretch, the message encourages young people to live truthfully with their own capabilities. To “fold away” superficial glamour and focus on real performance. Sometimes, knowing how to prioritize and daring to say “no” to invisible pressures is the smartest and most sustainable way of working.
Letting the “folds” create a solid form
The journey through the three episodes of Gấp Gap Season 2 resembles the process of completing an origami piece. Along the way, we learn to compact fears of technology, arrange confusion around job choices, and flatten pseudo-effort to retain the most essential core values.
Ultimately, what remains is not flashy skills, but courage. The courage to understand oneself, the courage to admit “not knowing,” and the courage to act even when everything is not yet perfect.
Whether you belong to Gen X, Y, or Z, only by firmly sitting in the driver’s seat and daring to face your own shortcomings can you confidently cross every gap and reach the destination you desire.
The theory has closed, now it is time for you to write your own story.
