Data Technology will be fast-growing industry in the next 3 years

Fintech companies (business that provides finance method services based on technology platform) have high recruitment demand on IT engineering who has experience in data field and finance knowledge. However, Vietnam workforce is lack of candidate who could deliver this requirement. Therefore, these companies have to recruit foreign engineering to work at Vietnam and handle high-skilled requirement position. Besides, aim to meet its recruitment demands, Fintech companies accepted to recruit fresh graduates and train them based on human resources development program.

According to technology expert’s sharing with Navigos Search, Data Technology will be fast-growing industry in the next 3 years. Companies in this industry have high recruitment demand on IT engineering in Data processing field and IT engineering has experience in machine learning (it belongs to artificial intelligence field and related to technical research and development that allows the machine system automatic-learning from database source for self-solving specific problems). Vietnam has less of professional training universities for this major. Therefore, the companies which provide online products and services have high recruitment demands on above-mentioned positions; however, the market is limited of adaptable requirement candidates in this field.

Korean companies have scarcity of high-skilled Korean language translator

According to our speculation, in Quarter 2, Korean business had its positive signs in recruitment on middle and senior manager level compared to Quarter 1. However, candidate sources which deliver its requirement and culture adaptive are limited; it caused this segment to meet many hindrances in recruitment.

The candidates who have high-skilled in Korean language and own professional degree (Master’s degree, PhD degree) are appreciated by Korean enterprise. These candidates have advantage in being recruited and offered by better compensation and benefit. With self-researching skill and grasping technological concepts faster, these candidates have many chances to work at Research & Development institute (R&D), even play important role at the factory.

Besides, Korean companies are located in the North have scarcity of high-skilled Korean language translator. Many companies have to recruit the candidate from the South to bring them to work in the North.

Chinese companies strongly invest in Garment and Footwear industry in the South

According to Navigos Search’s speculation, many 100% Chinese-owned companies and Chinese joint-venture companies (mostly are cooperative business partnership with European enterprises) are investing in manufacturing plants aim to export in the South, especially Textiles and Footwear industry and other manufacturing categories. These manufacturing plants have its small scale in the first year, from 100 – 200 workers for each factory. However, these enterprises have been planning for its large-scale development since second year; increase its scale from 400 – 500 workers for each factory, based on the demand of export markets.

Based on Navigos Search’s experience in recruitment for Chinese enterprise and Chinese joint-venture enterprise, Vietnamese candidates are open-minded with working for Chinese joint-venture or European joint-venture; otherwise, 100% Chinese-owned companies have more disadvantages in seeking Vietnamese candidates. Besides seeking culture adaptive candidates, Chinese companies and Chinese joint-venture companies are scarcity of candidate who is proficient in both Chinese and English, especially technical sales positions.
