First-ever survey on Vietnam Best Employers to be launched

The “Vietnam Best Employers Survey,” which is conducted for the first time ever in Vietnam by Navigos Group in association with ACNielsen and Thanh Nien Newspaper, recognizes top 50 companies to work for in Vietnam through evaluating their human resource and business practices which lead to employee satisfaction.

Speaking at the press conference to introduce the survey today, Navigos Group’s Managing Director Jonah Levey said “In the competitive labor market in Vietnam, there is a desire and a need among companies to differentiate themselves, as “employers of choice”. Only then can they attract the best talent.”

“As the leading provider of recruiting, and human resources advisory and development services, we at Navigos Group want to help all companies in Vietnam understand what matters most to employees and prospective employees. We aim to provide answers to what employees care about and what makes some companies the “Best Employers” vs. others,” he said.

The survey comprises two parts including the Company Questionnaire and the Employee Satisfaction Survey with the former evaluating the company’s human resource policies and practices in management style, compensation and benefit programs as well as employee training and development. Meanwhile, the Employee Satisfaction Survey studies the employee perspective of the company through different categories from job satisfaction and compensation to health and safety issue.

Mr Levey said the survey findings are expected to “show employers how and where to improve their HR practices” and thus, helping them achieve their business goals. “In every country in the world where a survey like this is conducted there is always a strong correlation demonstrating that the “Best Employers” also get the best business results. I strongly encourage each and every company in Vietnam to participate in this important survey.”

The survey, open to all types of business, is expected to generate a good impact on a larger social level. Mr. Nguyá»…n Quang Thông, General Secretary of Thanh Nien Newspaper, said “This is the first-ever survey in Vietnam on human resources management. The success of the survey as well as the top employers’ good practices will provide business community and authorities with key knowledge and experience to help formulate appropriate [labor] policies and mechanism, contributing to the productivity in the development and integration period.”

The survey, officially launched next week and scheduled to complete by the end of July, is conducted online to ensure unique response and confidentiality with all the data being collected and analyzed by the global leader in market research ACNielsen.
