supplementary report IS AN INTEGRAL PART TO THE official report to update the latest trends in vietnamese market
"In addition to the official Vietnam Salary Survey Report 2008, Navigos Group has just released its Supplementary Report 2008 to keep companies informed with the latest trends of the market which is released every mid year in between regular survey reports," said Winnie Lam - HR Advisory Services Director of Navigos Group. She said, in addition to reviewing all business indicators affecting remuneration policies since last data collection, the Supplementary Report 2008 focused on current market conditions in the economic downturn by presenting the result of a Trend Survey conducted by Navigos Group in March 2009.
This Trend Survey, she said, was conducted among 91 companies, of which 58% represented 100% foreign-owned companies. They came from various industries, of which Manufacturing & IT / Telecom had the highest respondents.
According to the Supplementary Report 2008, of the 91 surveyed companies, 67% still planned to hire in the next six months, mainly aimed at staff level. The Supplementary Report 2008 also revealed that 59% of surveyed companies increased salary between quarter 4/2008 and quarter 1/2009, despite the global economic downturn. In addition, nearly 40% of respondents said they have kept 2009 benefits and allowance system at the same level as last year.
Navigos Group's Supplementary Report 2008 is offered free to clients who have purchased the Vietnam Salary Survey 2008 Report and for those who have participated in the Trend Survey. It is also available to interested companies for a reasonable price.
