Seminar orients the last year polytechnic students on career path

Ho Chi Minh City – Today, 1 December 2007, vietnamworks.com, Vietnam’s largest job website, in coordination with the Polytechnic College which is under the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, organize “Career Orientation” seminar for more than 3,000 last year polytechnic students. The objective of the seminar is to equip essential knowledge and skills on finding jobs and starting career paths to these 3,000 students who will join the Vietnam labor force soon. “The mission of vietnamworks.com is to help people advance in their career path and achieve success. The “Career Orientation” seminar organized in the Polytechnic College attracts the attendance of experienced presenters who are leading HR experts of the big corporations in Vietnam. It covers various topics providing students essential skills for successfully gaining and starting a job. In particular, the presenters help students to work out on how to choose a suitable job, how to grasp the attention of recruiters through preparing C.V, cover letters, how to overcome job interviews successfully and finally what should and should not in the office. It is remarkable that this is not one-way communication seminar but students have chances to interact with the presenters representing for the best employers in Vietnam. Furthermore, HR presenters also help students to identify and avoid common mistakes in finding jobs made by new graduates. “We realize that we must be aware of the changes relating to demands and requirements of the labor market in order to support our students to have good jobs after graduating. Therefore, we highly appreciate the cooperation between the Polytechnic College and vietnamworks.com, and we consider the “Career Orientation” seminar is a dispensable step to prepare for our students to start their career path. Also on the same day, a “Career Center” is launched in the Polytechnic College.
